48 hour strike announced by cabin crew members of British Airways

January 10 BA passengers face disruptions over cancelled flights due to a 48 hour strike by the cabin crew. The strike was first planned for Christmas but due to new negotiations that was avoided.

Until now. Latest negotiations lead to a new offer which was rejected by union Unite. Crewmember that joined British Airways after 2010 will strike. This comes down to a total of 15% of the airlines’ crew members. BA stated the following:

“We are extremely disappointed that Unite has once again chosen to target our customers,” the company said.

“We are now focused on protecting our customers from this unnecessary and completely unjustified action.”
