Comedian Criticises Ryanair and easyJet on Twitter

The comedian and actress, Jenny Éclair has publicly criticised easyJet for the time it took for her to check in with the airliner and for their apparent willingness to pass on the admin duties to their customers.

She said:

This is not the first time a high profiled person has criticised the airlines, in May 2013, a prominent member of the Irish band Westlife, Brian McFadden took to Twitter to complain about Ryanair’s decision to charge him to print his boarding pass. He said: “I had no access to printer for my boarding pass. cost of them to do it at check in..£70… my golf bag 4kgs over weight….£80”

McFadden took the train to London rather than pay for Ryanair’s excessive charges.

The 2012 report into airline extra charges revealed that both Ryanair and easyJet both netted over £750million in extra charges for 2012 alone.
