Flight attendants: so much more than just a pretty face!

Ever pictured your flight attendant as a doctor, a firefighter or a body guard? No..?

Although we think of them as waitresses, merely delivering our refreshments, indicating the nearest emergency exit and checking that our seat belts are fastened – usually when we’ve just nodded off – cabin crew are actually highly trained to be reactive and deal all sorts of situations, often in high pressure situations.

Following an aircraft incident, it’s usually the Captain that gets all the praise, and rightly so.  But what role did the cabin crew play? You don’t often picture flight attendants delivering babies, tackling hijackers or fighting fires on board, but here are some amazing stories of flight attendants that went above and beyond the call of duty.  We at EUclaim salute you!
