    Ryanair passenger protected by Dutch Court

    A Ryanair flight from Mallorca to Brussels on 26 July 2010 was delayed. A passenger decided to start a legal procedure through the Small Claims Court in Middelburg and won the case. Ryanair, however, decided to file for appeal, but lost the case for a second time.

    Iberia lets passengers down on purpose

    EUclaim researched missed connections with Spanish airline Iberia. EUclaim investigated the route Tenerife-Madrid-Amsterdam with flight numbers IB 977 and IB 3244. The period of investigation is 1 January 2012 until 31 August 2012. After August, it was not possible to buy tickets for these particular flights anymore. The outcome of our research is remarkable, as the minimum connection time between two flights was exceeded in 72% of the journeys.

    EUclaim received a positive verdict in a case against Air France. It concerns a missed connection from passengers who traveled from Amsterdam to Paris with AF 2241 and were supposed to continue their journey to Buenos Aires with AF 418. The first flight to Paris was delayed, which caused the passengers to miss their connecting flight to Buenos Aires.

    We received a judgment regarding British Airways flight BA441 and connecting flight BA43 on 15 November 2009. It concerns a flight from Amsterdam, via London, to Capetown. The airline is obliged to pay the financial compensation to the passengers.

    Procurator General Dutch Supreme Court completes conclusion on 1 March

    As stated on our website before, we have several cases attended by the Dutch Supreme Court where the airline has appealed. The question is, if the procedure and law were applied correctly. The airlines’ point of view is that the Regulation was not applied correctly by the Court.
