Travelling apps for happy travellers

We thought this might be useful for all you frequent flyers out there.  Below the five top apps to keep you on the move when you’re travelling by plane.

GateGuru – offers a guide to airport facilities, plus it will help you find the correct terminal and gate for your flight. Added to that it will provide you with estimated waiting times at security for example.
Maplets

Maplets – We all know how frustrating it is to loose data connection when travelling especially when trying to find your way around a new city.  Maplets to the rescue! Offering more than 10,000 worldwide maps, from airport terminals to bus, tube and metro networks, all of which can be downloaded and stored offline so travellers can refer to the information at anytime.

mileBlaster

mileBlaster – If you’re a frequent flyer miles collector this app could be for you.  mileBlaster keeps track of multiple accounts and stores rewards all in one place. It also flags up when miles might expire and can track your progress towards elite statuses. The app also links in with other travel brands, such as rental cars and credit cards.

Jetradar JetRadar – compares ticket prices from the best of the comparison sites – delivering a price quote derived from a search of more than 700 airlines, five of the biggest booking systems and 35 travel agencies, including the biggest players such as Expedia and OneTravel.  It also offers currency exchange prices.
 
Seatalerts Seat Alerts – Expertflyer.com has been helping frequent flyers improve their experience for a while, now its seat alert app maximises your chance of a better seat in three easy steps. It monitors the available seats on any given flight right up until departure, if your preferred seat  becomes available, your Seat Alert notification arrives, and you can just contact the airline or the agency that booked your ticket.
