London Gatwick Airport is a European airport, If your delayed flight departed from Gatwick and was not affected by extraordinary circumstances, you are entitled to compensation which can go up to €600 (£535*) per person.

Example: You are flying from London Gatwick to Ibiza with a two hour delay due to fog. You are not entitled to compensation for two reasons. The delay did not exceed three hours and the cause of the delay is fog which is an extraordinary circumstance.
